Black Card Fly On A Debit Card Budget
I love shopping. I mean I REALLY love shopping. It's my favorite sport. Unfortunately, I don't always have the funds to support my love for the mall. So that's where I improvise and stratagize-my mom taught me early on that every expensive thing you see has a budget friendly twin. Here's my fantasy list of essentials along with look alikes that won't break the bank:
Luxury Bag(Black Card)- Chloe makes the best bags I have ever seen...if I ever get rich enough and crazy enough, this is the first thing I will blow my money on. I have always wanted a Paddington, but this season's Helouise Cherry Bag is becoming my newest crush. Oh, and I love bags. Expect a post on the 10 greatest bags of all time at some point!
Luxury Look Bag(Debit Card)- The Aldo "Sefro" Bag in Black($50) looks very lux, and the "Elrocee" Bag($50) looks alot like Chloe's Bay bag.
Curve Fitting Jeans(Black Card)- I have wanted some House of Dereon jeans ($139.99 at ecrater.com)ever since Beyonce and her mom started the clothing line. I'm sure everyone that knows me can attest to how much I used to talk about them. Hopefully, I'll find some in a TJMaxx near me soon.
Curve Fitting Jeans(Debit Card)- Baby Phat's Blue Dream Wash Straight Leg Jeans are still kind of expensive at $69, but if, like me, you still can't handle that there's Old Navy's "The Flirt" Boot Cut Jeans for $29.50.
Cute Leather Jacket(Black Card)- The Guess? Washed Lambskin Scuba Jacket ($298 at Nordstrom) looks alot like the cute leather jackets that Stacey and Clinton suggest on What Not To Wear. I love the chocolate brown color because it's not as severe as black.
Cute Leather Jacket(Debit Card)- The Guess? Patent Scuba Jacket($99 at Wilsons Leather) is more in my budget. Even though it's black, the shiny finish makes it more glamorous that a regular dowdy black leather jacket.
High Waisted Pencil Skirt(Black Card)- I like how Nanette Lepore's Richard Burton Corseted Skirt($240 at Saks Fifth Avenue) can be worn with or without a belt. I'm glad it doesn't come with a belt so that you can wear whatever kind of belt you want.
High Waisted Pencil Skirt(Debit Card)- The Lux Pencil Tux Skirt from Urban Outfitters($48) looks just as good at a fraction of the price.
Feminine, but versatile blouse(Black Card)- Blouses that can be worn for multiple occasions are my favorites because they really help to stretch your wardrobe. I can see Catherine Malandrino's Silk Chiffon Blouse ($345) going to work, for a night out, and for a casual movie with friends.
Feminine, but versatile blouse(Debit Card)- The Deity Satin Blouse ($48) at Urban Outfitters in gold would be perfect for any occasion as well, plus you won't be as nervous as you would be in a $350 shirt!
A Cute Belt(Black Card)- Snakeskin just looks so luxurious to me. I love the different colors and textures, especially in WCM's Snakeskin Belt($190).
A Cute Belt(Debit Card)- The Connie belt at Shop Suey Boutique satisfies my snakeskin fetish at an unbelievable price. Yeah, it's fake, but it looks great.
Fierce Shoes(Black Card)- The greatest outfits can be ruined by the wrong shoes. And of course in my fantasy world I would have to have a pair of Christian Louboutin Miss Allen J leopard print pumps($710).
Fierce Shoes(Debit Card)- As with the Chloe bag, until I become rich and/or crazy I'll opt for Nine West's "Darra" leopard print mary janes($79).
What a long post. But this should go to show how much I love my sport. Don't worry, I'm working on not being so long winded. Or maybe I'm not...you can't say enough about style!
