Fierce Boots-The ONLY reason why I like cold weather!

This is the time of year that I dread. Although the turning leaves are beautiful and good eating season is on the way, I really miss summer during fall and winter. Summer is so carefree in terms of fashion...throw on a nice sundress, some sandals and maybe a necklace and you're done on most spring and summer days. Fall and winter, however, take a lot more effort to dress for and look good. It's very easy to let the coldness make you sacrifice good style for comfort. If you're not careful dumpy sweaters and Uggs will become your everyday uniform. A fierce boot collection is a quick remedy for this. There's something about sexy boots that make you feel like you're dressed to the nines even when you've just got a t-shirt and jeans on. Here's my guide to the types of boots you'll definitely need to get you through to next spring. Cute Booties- For the office you might want to try booties since they are easier to wear with trousers or dresses. I love snakeskin, and these Nine West booties( Hilda, $155) are a change from plain black boots and will give your look a little attitude.

Sophisticated Stiletto- These are just as sexy as pumps but of course they give you more coverage, so you won't freeze as you stand in line at the latest club or lounge. Try to get them in an interesting color like grey, wine, or forest green for a unique twist to an outfit. The ruggedness of the ruching on the Bakers boots is a great contrast to how sleek they are. ( Bakers Angie, $74.99)

Sleek Flats- I LOVE flat boots because they're comfortable while still being chic and sophisticated. I'm not really a sneaker person, so these are usually what I'd throw on to go on a shopping trip or a night out at the movies. And you can find them at pretty much any shoe store so you can get multiple pairs at a reasonable price. I know these Steve Madden's are pricey (Insayne, $349.95), but they are my dream flat boot. The fold over top is my favorite part!
