A Time To Build: What I'll Do During My July Blog Break
This has probably been the most productive year for my blog to date. I set goals this past January that I am proud to say I have met or am on the track to meet. I've become much more consistent in my blogging. I started a email newsletter that I have consistently sent out every Monday. I finished the manuscript for my first book of poetry and had it edited by a professional editor. I just completed a blog series for writers with day jobs. All of these things are things that only lived in my mind six months ago. I'm addicted to seeing things through now, and I'm excited about all of the ideas in my head that I have yet to act on.

I found Nailah Harvey through the magic of Instagram. I have a habit of regularly searching hashtags to find other writers and bibliophiles to follow on all of the social media platforms that I’m on. Nailah’s profile caught me with her quick grammar tips and strategies for organizing as a writer. We also have the educator connection, so the fact that she balances writing books and maintaining a blog with teaching resonated with me.
